As Idaho Sen. Larry Craig continues to humiliate himself and his holier-than-thou Republican colleagues, a friend passed along this amusing music video from the folks at National Banana.
The clay-mation short is in the spirit of the “This Land” parody of John Kerry and George W. Bush that was such a hit for JibJab before the 2004 election.
Craig is the least believable defendant since O.J. In his interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer last night, he claimed to have “never used the Internet.” Think Progress cites at least six instances of the senator’s experience with the Web.
Craig broke no laws by soliciting gay sex in a men’s room stall. He was entrapped, and if you listen to the audio of his booking, you’ll hear the cop being far more aggressive than the circumstances dictated. The ACLU was right to come to his defense.
What’s galling about Craig’s case is his hypocrisy — voting against gay rights while promoting himself as a defender of “traditional values of the American family” — and his seeking a different standard of justice, both during his arrest (”What do you think of that?” he asked police, showing his Senate business card) and his ludicrous request to withdraw his guilty plea.
He may not have committed a crime, but the guy deserves whatever scorn is being heaped upon him.

Sen. Craig denies being gay or bisexual

“Craig is the least believable defendant since O.J.” Really?
I thought that honor went to Ted Kennedy after he killed Mary Jo Kopechne.
Without getting into the details of the Kennedy case, with which I am not familiar, let me just reiterate: *since* O.J.
Floyd Landis comes to mind as another obvious liar.
