Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
In these scary economic times, it’s helpful to get together with family and friends and reflect on having everything we need, and then some.
At JH Underground, we’re taking a much-deserved break in the tropics in preparation for the long, cold winter ahead. Posts may be sparse for the next week or so, but this is not another hiatus (although longtime readers will associate this photo with such a layoff).
Eat, drink and be merry.
Aloha!

Jim,
Where are you traveling? Ally and I are in Maui until Dec. 5th
Mike
Mike V is a trustafarian . He doesn’t have to concern himself with the state of our economy!
I was on Kauai when I read your comment. Just got home yesterday.
Jack,
I don’t appreciate the insult. If you think I’m a trustafarian then you don’t know me at all and if you don’t know someone, you shouldn’t comment about them. Besides, that’s not what this site is for.
I am not really sure what JH underground is all about. A friend told me to look it up.
I thought it would be deep into social concerns about the valley.
I will leave you with this thought. MAY BE one good thing to come out of these hard times will be that people who have the money and give to charity will shift they donations to real needs instead of the usual frou-frou stuff ( doggies, pink footed ferret, art, purchase of land for tax shelter etc…) we might be a resort community but we have our share of real hardship stories and I don’t mean the lack of snow or insufficiant Portaloo on Teton Pass. Those of us who do not have money should give time to help.I will patiently wait for insulting replies…
Ciao..
Sometimes we get into deep social concerns.
Other times we write about people fighting over powder on Teton Pass.
Not all replies are insulting. Thanks for your frank commentary on the economic collapse.
