Just as the community needs a good Irish wake, St. Patrick’s Day has arrived.
Two of our favorite institutions, Fitzgerald’s Bicycles and Snake River Brewing Co., are teaming up for a Jackson Hole celebration featuring traditional music, pipers, corned beef and cabbage, and even a spring bike sale to stoke your dreams of pedaling around the Emerald Isle.
The pub has brewed a special beer, Fitzgerald’s Irish Stout, in honor of the Victor city councilman whose family hails from County Cork.
Slip & the Jigs will have the reels rolling at 6 p.m., and the Highland Bagpipers will roam the aisles throughout the night. (The Jigs will be without fiddler Mark Tuttle, who is likely tipping back a pint in Galway at the moment.)
For details on the bike sale, from which 10 percent of the proceeds benefit Jackson Hole Community Radio, click here. Fitzy is bringing his Wheel o’ Fortune to the pub this evening for revelers to spin and win prizes.
Nothing like a blast of bagpipes to raise the spirits. Slainte!
