Anyone who has tuned in KHOL’s Live Phish show the last two Monday nights or downloaded the Hampton recordings knows Phish 3.0 is tight, rocking and as ferocious as ever.
At last, the band has announced plans to come West this summer, with four nights at Red Rocks from July 30 to Aug. 2 and a two-night run at The Gorge on Aug. 7 and 8.
Alas, no Snow King this tour. Check back here for summer 2010!

Got Dave and YMSB tix at the gorge. but those now seem meaningless. The race is on for Tixs. They sound better the they did on the 04 final east coast run.
With no dates in Southern California or the Southwest, Red Rocks tickets are going to be almost as tough to get as Hampton tickets.
This is Phish’s first appearance at Red Rocks since 1996, when they were banned after a bunch of ticketless fans misbehaved in the town of Morrison.
Yes they will be. I have my request in along with every family memeber I could get to do it also. I hope I get some. If I end up with more then the 2 I need I will post here and get them to someone around here that needs them for face. Good luck to all.
The Gorge is one of the best venues in the world. Do not miss these shows!! Make sure to bring a fan, it is going to be hot as hell!! Ask a Burning Man festival veteran for advise on how to beat the heat!! Redrocks tickets will be impossible, so just gear up for the Gorge and get ready to rage!!
Got 2 for sat and sunday at the rocks but what a joke I had 11 people trying and only got 4 tickets. And the prices on Stubhub/ticketmaster are even more sad. I think I may sell these if I get Gorge Tix if anyone wants them. I dont want to be in a crowd full of Trustafarians.
D if your selling your red rocks tix let me know, trustafarians or not, i want to be there. just one ticket for one night, thats all i wanted, and cant shell out 400 for a single ticket. shut out on 6 cards in the lottery and 4 people trying on ticketmaster failed me. thus no summer phish for me. help a fellow jackson ski bum. have cash and/or gear trades. rarust@smcm.edu
Yeah…no go either with the Phish tix…Will have to make sure to get a tape of every show from this tour.
Not-so-small consolation prize? Mule@the ghee.
I was lucky. Although I was shut out via Phish Ticketing, a friend scored us 2 tickets to the Gorge.
Phish needs to keep playing shows so the hype dies down, and next year tickets will be easy to get.
By summer 2010, I hope we won’t have to travel far.
forget red rocks tickets when your mom scored 2 two day passes on ticketmaster for face. who else is making the trip from jackson?
another consolation= railroad earth at targhee bluegrass
Jim any news on this year?
no news yet, although I did reach out to the booking agent. I think there’s a European tour in the works.
Update: Looks like a two-night run in Telluride in August http://www.telluridenews.com/articles/2010/03/03/news/doc4b8f1b4dd1022963309591.txt
Wow. This much commentary relating to some Phish shows? I guess we know where Jackson’s passions lie; not with the struggles of our time.
And I know a show is a huge scene with a great communal vibe, but – and I’m hitting the hive with a stick here – the actual music is horrible. Playing a vacuum? Ridiculous. Band swapping instruments? I guess…if you also like your mechanic doing your taxes. Commence hippie scorn…
Carl. LOL you may not like it but if you think they have no talent you are a retard. THanks jim I will def. be in T. CO for this. Some how I cant buy the Euro tour but nothing would surprise, the Euro dates seem like a wet dream DMB want to be tour kinda thing but I have also heard it is happening. WHO KNOWS???
I’ve heard the AMA is now testing phor retardation by putting babies in the phront row of Phish concerts. If they stay conscious despite the overwhelming stench of underachievement, drug-phueled date rape and abandoned personal hygene, yet do not pfeel totally groovy, they are in phact – retarded. Its science. Good call D.
Carl,
drug-phueled date rape :
That would work if I in fact did any drugs which I don’t period.
Overwhelming stench of underachievementor:
This would work if I didn’t put myself through college and now hold a full time job with full benefits and salary that is far beyond the National average with a fortune 500 company that is paying for me to get my master which will be done by summer, while at the same time moving into my newly built home paid for entirely by me and no one else. I am 27 years old and must admit I do pfeel totally groovy and very fortuante especially do to the economic times we are currently experiencing. However your narrow minded ignorance is far worse then anything I have ever seen at a Phish show, even the worst of the worst stuff like 3am around a Nitrous oxide Tank last night of a festival kind of bad you my friend are a joke and very pathetic. You have every right to dislike or like any music you want, and you even can make broad sweeping generalizations that are incorrect you just look stupid when you do.
“Jackson’s passions lie; not with the struggles of our time.” (This sounds like a personal problem to me.)
Whoa! It wasn’t personal. I dont know you, but you apparently know me based on 100 words of satire, so thats cool.
It was absolutely a sweeping generalization…one that I stand behind. Every rule has an exception, and your diatribe certainly is exceptional. If you truly believe that Phish shows are pretty run of the mill when it comes to drug use and the consequences therein, I guess this debate is at an impasse.
No I don’t think your sweeping generalization is completely false it may be more true then false but I do think Phish is great and I know many other really good people “law abiding citizens” or not, that do as well. Personally I could care less about what other people are doing at a concert they should have the right to do whatever they like. I don’t pick or choose the music I like based on the people that show up to the concerts. Drug and alcohol use is a staple at 100 percent of music concerts should we all of them? It became personal when you directed it at me with “Its science. Good call D,” acting like no one could possibly enjoy their music without being faced.
My comment stemmed from your well-thought and articulate conclusion that I might be ‘retarded’. It was a play on how we determine retardation in this string.
Explaining satire is always a treat – especially with the surplus of irony surrounding my alleged retardation.
btw; i love drugs and dont mind in the least their use at any concert. I might think differently if I one day have a daughter at said shows, but for now; let it ride.
Retard was in reference to your retarded comment comparing their musical talent to this “if you also like your mechanic doing your taxes” That was a retarded statement said by someone that was acting retarded at the moment. Its ok you will pull through it happens to everyone.
Eloquence defined.
Is this the part where I list my accomplishments/talk about how big time I am to prove I’m not retarded? (see post 15).
Guys, enough, please.
