Ouch.
U.S. Ski Team racer Resi Stiegler of Jackson Hole crashed in giant slalom training today at Copper Mountain, Colo., and injured her left leg.
Stiegler, 24, was transported off the mountain in a sled and taken to Vail Valley Medical Center.
One of America’s top slalom skiers, she had worked her way back from three injuries the last two seasons and was hoping to qualify for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
She was training with the U.S. women for next week’s World Cup in Aspen.
We wish her a speedy recovery. For the latest on her condition, check Ski Racing Magazine.
Update 11/21: Fractures of her left tibia and femur. Season is over.
