Last we left off with filmmaker Jen Tennican, she had embarked on a documentary about the Stagecoach Bar in Wilson, using the cherished watering hole as a prism to view 70 years of Western history.

Since then she won the Wyoming Short Film Contest with a spinoff comedy and netted $25,000 for the project. Now, nearing her fund-raising goal, she has received a $5,000 grant from a local foundation and is appealing to us, the masses on the Interwebs, to match.

Tennican is in the home stretch of her 5 Days to $5K online event. Anyone who makes a donation before Tuesday will be entered in a raffle to win gift certificates for Fine Dining, Trio and other restaurants, ski rentals, a custom silver pendant by Susan Fleming and Stagecoach belt buckle by John Frechette, among other prizes.

The film is a project for the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum. All donations are tax deductible. Click here to contribute.

Tennican has been posting a series of short videos on the film’s Facebook page. This clip features cyclist Warren Ostler, who with friends has a tradition of riding the pass on Thursday evenings, followed by Disco Night.

The fund-raising drive achieved its goal, netting nearly $6,000 to match the $5,000 already pledged. On Dec. 15, Pizza Night at Betty Rock will feature a screening of segments from the movie and other related footage.
