The Alta, Wyo., resort reported 12 inches of snow at the 8,000-foot base and 20 inches atop the summit.
No, the lifts were not running. Targhee does not reopen for summer till June 22.
Year after year we are reminded that Memorial Day weekend does not usher in beach season in Wyoming. Let’s hope this melts by Targhee Fest.
